He is a past president of the Chartered Insurance Institute and a former chairman of the British Insurance Brokers' Association (BIBA). Simon has a passionate commitment to top levels of personal service backed up by a professional and highly motivated staff. In 2000 he received the British Insurance Industry's Achievement Award for outstanding service to the insurance industry. Additionally in 2003 he received the Insurance Age "Decade of Achievement Award"

E H Ranson began trading in Edinburgh in 1894 and since the mid 1960s we've concentrated solely on insurance broking - specialising in motor, home and commercial risks.
